ART IN EMBASSIES PROGRAM, DEPARTMENT OF STATE - DAKAR, SENEGAL
3d folk art story quilt selected by Department of State to be displayed in the American
Embassy in Dakar, Senegal-Africa for 3 Years.  I went to Dakar in 2004 to participate
in the Department of State's Artists Ambassador's Program.  The piece selected for
display in the embassy is titled;  Family Ties - an old-fashioned story about what it was
like for me growing up in a big family in Brooklyn, New York.

One of a kind traditional quilts made by African American women and Amish women will be
displayed at my farm in our 19th Century General Store and our very old fashioned Amish
built white barn.  Also on display will be a 17 feet wide and 8 feet high early American
dollhouse with handmade furniture and dolls inside, quilting, cooking, reading their bible,
cleaning the fireplace and sitting on the large porch of the house shelling blackeye beans.
